About Scott Meredith

Personal Background

Scott grew up spending every summer in Lavallette at the family's beach house. After graduating with an economics degree from Cook College, Rutgers University in 1984 Scott opened Wavejammer Surf Shop in Toms River NJ. Following many years in retail, Scott moved on to begin a successful career as a full time Sales Associate with Childers Sotheby's International Realty in Lavallette.

Scotts family history with the Lavallette area dates back to 1926 when his grandfather had a house built in North Lavallette. This home still remains in the family however Scott and his wife Karen have lived closer to the center of town since the late 90's. Their son Kyle attended the Lavallette School from K through eighth grade and graduated from Pt. Pleasant Beach High School. Kyle is now attending Lehigh University.

Business Philosophy

Scott is a firm believer that if you treat customers like family and always pay attention to details, good results will follow. With both the economic climate and real estate technology changing on a daily basis, Scott is dedicated to being informed, being accessible, being an excellent communicator / negotiator and utilizing the latest technologies to maximize effectiveness. Also, in the wake of Superstorm Sandy Scott is dedicated to keeping on top of how changes to local building codes and flood maps are affecting the local real estate market. This commitment and philosophy is combined with a strong marketing background and extensive local knowledge.
